How to Split Google Sheets Column into 2 Columns

My love for Google Sheets grows more every day.

Recently I had to split a list of names into first name and last name. I discovered that it’s *really* simple with Google Sheets. No complicated Excel formula to figure out… just a couple of mouse clicks and *presto*… you’re done.

Here’s how:

    1. Open your Google Sheets file.Google Sheet split column
    2. Select the column you want to split.
    3. From the Data menu click on Split Text to ColumnsGoogle Sheets Split Data

 

    1. Choose the “separator” and hit enter.google sheets separator

 

  1. Done!

Now simply download your file as a *.csv and it’s ready to import into your favorite software… like YouCanFollow.Me!
