Let me start by saying WELCOME!\u00a0 In Direct Sales we like to say, \u201cyou are in business for yourself, but not by yourself\u201d<\/em>.\u00a0 So\u2026welcome to the community!\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Each direct sales company is a little different – different pay structures (and bonuses), different sponsoring and leadership incentives, different selling structures (party plan vs one-on-one selling).\u00a0 But whichever company you sell for, here are five steps to ensure success with your new endeavor:<\/span><\/p>\n

ONE.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Stay close to whoever sponsored you into your company.\u00a0 If they are not full time consultants, then make sure you get connected to someone in your upline that IS doing it full time.\u00a0 Regardless of whether you want to make millions, or you just want to do this as a hobby, you\u2019ll need good support and training on all things product- & company-related.\u00a0 So make sure you plug into that community first.<\/span><\/p>\n

TWO.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You want to know the REAL secret to success?\u00a0 Go to all of the training and earn all of the sales\/sponsoring rewards that are put in front of you! Most companies will offer a monthly bonus, an annual incentive trip, and other various perks. EARN. THEM. ALL. <\/span>Not only will you make more money, but you\u2019ll have a lot more fun. \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve never met anyone who was successful at earning, without LEARNING. <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

To earn those rewards, you\u2019ll need to attend every training possible. That includes small unit meetings, regional meetings, and your company\u2019s National Training!\u00a0 It is crucial for you to learn from the other people in your company before you go out purchasing training and coaching from a general sales coach.<\/span><\/p>\n

THREE.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hopefully you\u2019ve started with a company where you are in LOVE with the products, because that is absolutely vital to you being able to SELL it! So make sure you try out as much as you can. See it. Touch it. Smell it. Feel it. Taste it (but only if it\u2019s food).\u00a0 And become a Product Expert.\u00a0 You don\u2019t have to know every ingredient or how it\u2019s made.\u00a0 But you should be able to say \u201cThis product is amazing!\u00a0 I used it for ______ and it did (this) for me\u201d.\u00a0 People are much more likely to buy a product when their consultant tells them how they personally used it and why it\u2019s perfect for them, too.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

FOUR.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Talk about your business!\u00a0 When your mouth is closed, your business is closed!\u00a0 You can open the most beautiful shop in the world, but if you never invite anyone to come inside to see what you\u2019ve displayed on your shelves, you\u2019ll never sell anything!\u00a0 <\/p>\n

That means you have to post product photos on social media, tell your friends and coworkers what you\u2019re up to, and create a community online.\u00a0 A lot of consultants will create a VIP group on Facebook to keep their customers plugged in.\u00a0 But that should NOT be the only place you promote your business.\u00a0 You\u2019ll want to constantly add new people to your community, and that means you should always be thinking: <\/span><\/p>\n

Who ELSE needs my product?\u00a0 <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

When you\u2019re first starting out, invite your friends and family personally to purchase, host, join your VIP group, etc. And make sure you reach out and tell them what you have and why you thought of them.<\/span><\/p>\n
